I'm a designer from the Boston, MA area and graduate of Massachusetts College of Art and Design. While my background is in design, a passion of mine has always been in teaching coaching. I've taught snowboarding for over a decade, and over the past few years, I have been coaching youth soccer.
I love fusing my different passions together and getting to work with my hands, so I jump at the chance to build or make something that's real and tangible. This led me to my current position working in the screenprinting and embroidery industry. To be able to take something from screen to press and to have an actual physical object at the end is something truly special.
If I don't know how to do something, I find out how. Sometimes that's through a mentor, or a tutorial, or sometimes that's trying and failing on my own until I get it right. I genuinely believe that kind of attitude makes for a well-rounded individual, no matter your profession. By taking initiative, you have more ownership on what you eventually learn. Your different experiences help make you unique and give you something special to bring to the table creatively and practically. That means sometimes "sound system wiring", "nationally certified snowboard instructor" and "print design" are next to each other on your resume.
